Day 1
After we got settled in we went to explore Seville. After a few minutes we came along some girls handing out advertizing for Flamenco dancing. It was so cool. It was like tap dancing and the Gipsy Kings (type of band); the dancing was so loud that I thought I would go deaf. I liked the dress that was made with ruffles trailing in the back. It was so pretty. I wanted that type of dress. When the boy Flamenco dancer did spins he would spray sweat all over the place. My mom and my little brother, Lukas, got hit by it. I’m glad I didn’t get sprayed by sweat. After the show my dad wanted to by one of us stomp shoes.
Day 2
We went back to the place where we saw the Flamenco Dancing to see the museum it was so interesting. There was this one room with dresses and other stuff for Flamenco dancing and there were these computer stands with the pictures of the stuff on it. If you clicked on it the TV screen in front of you, it would show you what the item was for or some interesting facts. This one red dress which had black moons on it a girl had worn during the Opening Ceremony during the Olympics. Next we went to a flight and how it works museum it was so cool. There were red buttons on the display and if you push them the thing would move. The first display was an oval shaped dish with three poles going through it. Each pole had a different shape on it; one shape looked like a piece of paper and was the last of the shapes to fall. The other shapes were a sphere and an ovoid. The ovoid fell first and a few seconds later the sphere fell. The next display was a metal thing inside a tube. Underneath the metal thing was water above it was air the metal thing was also full of air and when the air leaked out it would go up. The third display had a thing with gears and some wire and it held a little rocket ship. On the outside of the glass there was a control stick. Ben and I kept fighting over who got to drive the rocket ship.
Day 3
We went to a palace with rooms that looked the same and I ran through them spinning and sliding on the marble and tile floor. It was so fun I felt like I snuck in to a castle to dance. I also walked around through these doors and through them there were columns and on the other side was a room with a plant in the middle, then I walked through them and found a hallway that snaked off. I went inside. I walked in and out a few rooms and found myself right where I had started. We also went to the cathedral and up the bell tower there were windows on it and once you got high enough you could see the flying buttresses out two sides and the other two sides you could see some roofs with swimming pools on them.
Day 4
We decided to explore our side of the river and while we were at it, we saw a shop called Kiddy’s class I got shorts, a gray skirt, a flowered and white skirt, and a gray\brown dress\shirt. Next we went across the bridge and walked through a park we saw three play structures at the third one there was a zip line we each got 5 or 6 turns.
Day 5
We went to an art museum and there were tons of pictures of Jesus. When we went up stairs there was a picture of people grieving for a dead Matador, when we went into the next room we looked back and the grieving for a dead Matador picture looked almost real.
Day 6
We went to Expo 92 it was huge it was also windy (for once). We walked past tons of tall buildings when we were walking past this one building we heard booming that my sister and I called: the “Drums of Doom” then when we got closer to them. We saw a roped off place when we looked in we saw a deep hole and there was this huge hammer that was putting things into to the ground. Then we went home and hung out for an hour or so then we went out for dinner and a good place to watch the soccer game, the soccer game was very interesting it was Germany against Spain and Spain won 1 - 0! And now Spain is in the final for the FIFA World Cup against Netherlands, and I hope Spain wins.
Day 7
We went to two museums. One museum was about archeology and the other one was about art and culture. We went to the art and culture first; there were workshops, rooms they used, inventions, lace, and embroidery. I liked the lace and the embroidery the best. The temporary exhibit had stuff to do with the birds outside and how long they had been there they had a time line of the birds and it started around 1900 or later (I can’t remember) and it ended this year ( of course). Then we went to feed the birds some sort of seed. They were all over Jasmin as soon as she went to see what the price was. I was the first kid to hold the bag of food. Once I had it there were at least five birds on my hand that started pecking at it and one on my head (that had stayed there the whole time). Then we went to the archeology museum. They had tiles (very colourful), broken vases that they had uncovered, they had rocks with carved ancient pictures, they had statues of gods, and other things you could imagine while you were a digger under the dirt… yep they even had bones! The boys and I got guides but we didn’t give the tour (my sister did that) we used the pictures for a scavenger hunt.
